What can you do?

You can take action to protect your health from climate change. Take practical steps to reduce your risk of climate‑related health impacts (Health Canada).

  • Stay cool during heat waves.
  • Improve indoor air quality during wildfire smoke events.
  • Prepare for flooding and emergencies.

You can also take actions that help slow climate change (Health Canada).

  • Transition to renewable energy at home where possible.
  • Choose active or public transportation.
  • Eat less meat.
