Statement of commitment

Public Health Sudbury & Districts (Public Health) is committed to accessibility. We are always working to identify, prevent, and remove barriers that make life harder for people with disabilities. By using principles of universal design, everyone will benefit from our accessibility efforts. These efforts include barrier-free access, clear language, and getting the right service when you need it.

We will make every reasonable effort to ensure that

• People with disabilities can use our programs and services with dignity and independence.
• People with disabilities have equal opportunities to access and benefit from our programs, services, and participate in activities and events.
• We design our programs and services to be inclusive and free of barriers. If that is not possible, we will provide an alternative method to enable a person with a disability to obtain, use or benefit from, our programs and services.
• Accessibility measures are built into the decision-making processes, short- and long-term program planning, purchasing, event planning, emergency planning, and the development of new systems and services.
