Public Health Ontario laboratory results further confirm the safety of the municipal water supply
On Friday, May 8 (corrected month), Public Health Sudbury & Districts officially lifted the boil water advisory that came into effect May 6, 2026, for residents of New Sudbury, Sudbury, parts of Garson, and Falconbridge.
As part of the investigation, and out of an abundance of caution, Public Health also required additional water samples to be submitted to Public Health Ontario laboratories. The results received today, Saturday, May 9, also confirm the safety of the municipal water supply.
