We provide information about food insecurity and what can be done, food safety in your kitchen and in the community, and how you can promote food literacy and food skills.
Food literacy and skills help people make food choices that support their health and well-being in their home, at school, at work, and during other activities.
Food safety refers to the steps that we take to keep food safe and prevent foodborne illness. Foodborne illness is also known as food poisoning.
Public health inspectors play an important role in ensuring the safety of food that is sold and distributed. They do this by conducting inspections of public businesses on a routine and complaint basis.
Inspection results are available online. Check Before You Go!
