Blue-green algal bloom reported in Ramsey Lake

A visible bloom of blue-green algae has been observed in Ramsey Lake. The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks has advised Public Health Sudbury & Districts that after testing samples taken July 9, 2025, from that bloom, blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) has been confirmed.
