Spring 2026 COVID-19 vaccine program update

Spring COVID‑19 vaccines are available to specific high-risk populations, including:

• adults aged 65 years and older
• adult residents of long-term care homes or other congregate living settings for older adults
• individuals aged 55 years and older who identify as First Nations, Inuit, or Métis, and their non-Indigenous household members aged 55 years and older
• individuals aged six months and older who are moderately to severely immunocompromised due to an underlying condition or treatment

Individuals not eligible for a spring dose will become eligible for vaccination in the fall.

All administered doses should be documented in local documentation systems in accordance with professional standards; the provincial COVaxON system is no longer available for documentation.

Access to COVID-19 Immunization records

To help vaccine providers confirm that minimum dose intervals are met, the Ministry has launched a temporary COVID‑19 immunization provider support line (CIPSL) to review historical records.

Providers must supply a valid professional registration number and sufficient client identifiers to support record searches. Clients should be encouraged to bring their COVID-19 immunization records to their appointment, if available.
