The water has since been sampled and tested to ensure its safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe bacteriological quality of the water supply has been tested with no adverse results being reported,\u201d said Burgess Hawkins, a manager in Public Health\u2019s Health Protection Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">After a boil water advisory is lifted:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list mht-list\">\n<li>Run cold water faucets for 5 minutes or until the water runs clear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Large-volume users (for example, schools) may need to run cold water taps longer on first use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drain and refill hot water heaters set below 45\u00b0C.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discard water filters that were used during the advisory and replace with new filters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, please call Public Health Sudbury &amp; Districts at 705.522.9200, ext. 464 (toll-free 1.866.522.9200) or visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.phsd.ca\/\">phsd.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Public Health Sudbury &#038; Districts has officially lifted the\u00a0boil water advisory\u00a0that came into effect July 21, 2024, for residents of Foleyet.<\/p>\n<p>Public Health Sudbury &#038; Districts issued the boil water advisory because of a potential risk to the drinking water supply.
